How do you price your projects?
Every project begins with a very detailed estimate, itemized by construction category: electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, etc. We take great pride in our ability to accurately estimate our clients’ projects up front, thereby avoiding surprises during the construction phase. We want our clients to feel comfortable with the project budget when they decide to move forward with Ascent Builders.
What does a typical project cost?
Because each project is unique, there is no typical range or price. Every project is priced individually based on a client’s needs, wants, and budget. The cost for finishes such as flooring, cabinets, and appliances can vary significantly and obviously impact the overall project cost. We discuss these aspects up front so that we can estimate your project as accurately as possible.
What kinds of project does Ascent Builders take on?
Ascent Builders handles complex projects such as additions, custom homes, kitchen remodels, and commercial tenant finishes. Our two greatest strengths are our ability to coordinate multiple trade contractors and our ability to keep projects on schedule. The aforementioned project types capitalize on those strengths.
What kinds of projects does Ascent Builders not handle?
Projects that require a single trade contractor or a handyman type professional are better left to other firms. We would be happy to provide a referral for projects of this type. Feel free to call contact us for a referral.
What geographic areas do you work in?
We generally service the greater Denver metropolitan area, but will occasionally consider projects elsewhere in Colorado. Please contact us to discuss.

Ascent Builders is focused not only on delivering high-quality work, but high-quality service as well. Collaboration and communication are the underpinnings of our work philosophy.
We believe that in order to create a win-win relationship with a client, we must be successful in three areas. First, we must deliver a high-quality end product that meets or exceeds our client’s expectations. Second, we must deliver the project on budget and on schedule, as established at the outset of the project. Finally, we must maintain a high level of communication and transparency with the client throughout the entire project in order to alleviate misunderstandings and help the project proceed smoothly. Our experience is that many contractors are able to deliver on the first of these areas, but struggle with the other two.
What’s the design process like?
For clients that have not yet engaged a design professional for their project, we offer turnkey services. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, we may be able to complete the design with our in-house staff and our design software, which allows us to create floor plans and provide full-color, 3D renderings of your project so you are easily able to visualize the end result before we initiate construction. If necessary, we are also able to engage the services of licensed architects and engineers.
What if I already have a design and just need a builder?
We are happy to work with designs that you have already created. Contact us to discuss how to move forward.
Are you insured and bonded?
We carry all of the necessary liability insurance required by municipalities in the Denver area, and will happily provide the associated certificates upon request. Some projects may warrant additional insurance needs, and we will identify these and discuss them with you prior to initiating work.
What is your warranty?
Ascent Builders offers a 2-Year “Bumper-to-Bumper” Warranty and 5-Year Structural Warranty. It is important to understand that a contractor’s warranty is only as good as their ability and willingness to service it. Many contractors claim to provide a warranty, but fail to deliver on this promise when a warranty issue arises.
