It's the Little Things That Count: Drywalled Garages

Our new Cornerstone Townhomes community in Thornton offers a whole host of impressive features that come standard. Nine-foot ceilings, closet systems, soaking tubs, and more will catch your eye as soon as you enter. But there is one feature that we think it worth noting even though it's not the first thing you see when you walk in the door: a drywalled garage. This finishing touch is just a little sign of the overall care we take with all of our building projects, and we think it makes a difference both in the resale potential for a home and your comfort.

Beyond looking nicer, a garage that is drywalled and insulated will save you money on your energy bill (if the garage is attached to the home) and be more comfortable in the heat of summer and the cool of winter. A drywalled garage also provides superior noise reduction, and drywall helps protect the wood studs. A finished garage makes it easier to put up storage systems and shelving as well. Most builders don't offer this as a standard feature, but we think it's worth taking a little extra time on the little things.
